Club night Blogs from Apr 2013 to end Jun 2013. Click to read more.

The show de-brief took up much of the first club night in June but the club also got to view the results of the Revell competition. Well done all who took part, the criteria was simple- During the first 6 months of 2013 make a Revell kit, the age, type, scale and presentation was up to the individual so the club had old models from Revell America, Revell Monogram as well as just released models from Revell Germany.   The club was lucky enough to have the SW England sales rep from Revell visit and judge his favorite model. Top 3 were Mick Ellis and his Lunar Module, Tony Cooke and his fantastic 1/32 Lynx but top place went to Richard Clarke for another distressed car, this time a Mercedes 540.

21 May 2013.

Tonight the club ran through the final details for the model show on the 1st June. Also we held our annual in house event, the memorial shield contest. Any club member may enter anything from there model collection that will be judged by the 3 previous shield winners. Bill Allen and Tony Cooke were joined by guest judge Aaron Sibley who elected Richard Clarke and his 'Distressed Chevy' diorama as the winner. The entries were varied and showed the club to have been busy through the last 12 months. Colin Whitehouse had a number of exquisite aircraft and his young son submitted a couple of ships also.
